Guaranty Bank Now Accepting Customer Deposits in Joplin
Full service banking is now available from Guaranty Bank in Joplin. After 14 months of operating a loan production office at 2639 East 32nd Street, Ste. R, Guaranty Bank received approval from the FDIC in late July to operate that facility as a full service branch. It marks the 10th banking center for Guaranty Bank and first full service location outside of the Springfield metropolitan statistical area in the bank’s 103 year history.
“We are excited to now offer full service banking to our loan customers in Joplin,” said Jeff Williams, Guaranty Bank Joplin Market President. “Accepting deposits is a fantastic and crucial step as we continue to grow our presence in this area.”
Williams was hired in April of 2016 to oversee Guaranty Bank’s lending and overall growth in the Joplin market. Daily retail banking activity is now overseen by Retail & Corporate Banking Officer Amanda Lansford, hired in June, while Cathleen Morris was hired July 31 as the location’s first branch banker. In total the location now has seven full-time employees including Commercial Relationship Manager Archie McDonald and Residential Lender Sheila Whitehead.
“Guaranty Bank has been seeking opportunities to expand our footprint in Southwest Missouri for some time,” said Guaranty Bank President and CEO Shaun Burke. “We look forward to continuing to build valuable relationships in the state’s fifth largest metropolitan statistical area by providing clients with all of their banking needs.”
The new Joplin Banking Center now offers Guaranty Bank’s full line of products including retail checking, consumer and commercial lending services, consumer and commercial lines of credit, merchant services, and real estate and construction loans. The bank’s 11th location is currently under construction in Springfield’s Farmers Park development and is scheduled to open in fourth quarter 2017.
